Jacques has held leadership positions in the entertainment, tourism, financial services and technology industries. Prior to founding Opus Consulting Group, he began his career as an auditor for Ernst & Young and Universal Pictures in Paris, France. Since moving to Maine in 1999, Jacques has held several executive positions and engaged in an array of consulting assignments. Over the past few years, he has been instrumental in bringing alive a number business startups and engineering corporate turnarounds.
His expertise lie within business strategy and management, new business venture, due diligence, accounting, process improvement, financial systems, planning and analysis, sales and marketing strategy.
Jacques holds a degree from EDHEC School of Management in Lille, France with a concentration in Finance.
Bill Identifies investment opportunities, oversees investor relations, and operates our portfolio.
With over 50 years of business experience, Bill has held positions in sales, marketing, quality control, production, finance, and consulting from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Recently, Eldridge founded and served as the CEO of Maine’s Own Organic Milk Company, a corporation formed to aid organic dairy farmers secure and maintain a profitable market share. As VP of Marketing for United Fruit Company, Sr. Financial Analyst and Director of Quality Control for United Brands, Eldridge reviewed, analyzed and recommended financial and operational changes to large companies and divisions with sales from $10 million to $1 billion.
Eldridge has served as an active member for multiple non-profit organizations. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors for Wellness Connection of Maine, Maine Rural Partners, and Slow Money Maine Steering Committee.
Eldridge has an MBA from Boston University with a concentration in Operations Research and a BS with honors from Northeastern University in Marketing and Statistics.
Parker secures investment financing for the Opus Ventures funds and manages investor relations.
Parker Poole has established an impressive background in the development of new information technology applications over the past 30 years. In 1983, Parker founded Wright Express Corp, now WEX Inc. (WEX NYSE), a global leader in corporate payment solutions. He has extensive experience in the development and market introduction of information technology.
Parker has been instrumental in securing significant capital for the projects he has developed, raising over $50 million in equity capital from both private and corporate investors. Notable firms that have invested in these projects include Morgan Stanley Ventures, Harvard Endowment Fund, Arthur D Little, Elf Aquitaine, Apex Ventures and many other well established firms and individuals.
Parker received his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Tufts University College of Engineering.
Elizabeth expands OV’s outreach, widening the circle of support for the Fund.
Beth manages investor relations at Opus Ventures. She actively seeks partners for OV who are attracted by the opportunity to make fiscally responsible investments in Maine’s entrepreneurs and benefit from the Maine Seed Capital Tax Credit program. Beth began her career in financial services with State Street in Boston, transitioning to the non-profit sector, where she has raised over $50 million. She sits on the board of the Portland Public Library and chairs their Development Committee, serves on the Development Committee at Kids First and is the Secretary of the Maine Planned Giving Council.
Andrew specializes in providing clients with strategic and operational support during the start-up and growth phases.
Andrew supports new businesses with financial modeling, business plan writing and ongoing project management to support a successful launch to position companies for long term growth. In addition, he assists clients as interim controller to improve core business practices and develop strategic action plans for future growth. Prior to joining Opus, Andrew worked for a multinational corporation selling financial products and services. Andrew is a fluent native speaker of the German language and has experience in German/English translation.
Andrew received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and German with additional studies in International Management from Missouri State University. He is currently a candidate in the MBA/MSF dual degree program at Northeastern University.
Frank brings expertise in health care and entrepreneurship to the table.
Frank is an Associate Clinical Professor at his alma mater, Tufts University School of Medicine and specializes in cataract surgery and glaucoma management. Dr. Read founded the Maine Eye Center, the largest medical eye-care organization in northern New England. Through his work as Board Member of Common Census, he helped launch a benefits management platform which has been in operation since 1991. In addition, he co-founded the thriving local favorite Mr. Bagel. Annually, Dr. Read volunteers in a medical mission to the western highlands of Guatemala, providing much-needed medical eye treatment and surgery to the indigenous people of the region.
